Goodbye Owen Nolan, Hello Todd Bertuzzi

Turns out Daryl Sutter was serious when he said all he wanted was a one-year deal. Only thing was, he lost Nolan to the Wild, but he got another power forward vet. Only thing--it's Todd Bertuzzi....one year deal worth just under 2 million..... Steep for a crook.

One fan upon hearing the news lamented, "what?! that's sick." And not the good kind of sick was inferred. Mixed feeling from Flames fans upon learning of the news, what's your take? Happy with the signing of the big LW with a checkered past?

Jarome Igilna is a 'strong supporter' of Bertuzzi coming aboard......interesting.

    Basically we always pick up a old timer vet that's washed up. Bertuzzi fits the bill, and frankly he's the best washed up goon we've ever picked up, seriously. We could benefit greatly if he's healthy.

    This pisses me off. i hate keenan, he's like living in 1994. Does Sutter have Alzheimers or something? Does he not remember what happened on ice by this crook?

    Not such a good deal and we could have done better. Losing Nolan was something, but getting Bertuzzi was awful. I don't think he is a good welcome to the Flames with the reputation he has. The Flames team have mighty good players and we don't need one bad apple to spoil the whole team.
