Theoren Fleury Back With the Flames
Kind of. Monday’s colour commentary for the PPV game against Colorado will be conducted by none other than the Fleury man himself. I think that in itself is reason to hook it up. Hope he does well.

Evidently the Calgary prospects in net aren’t that great. Daryl Sutter announced Miikka Kiprusoff as the goalie for the foreseeable future, acknowledging him as a key component of the Calgary Flames for many years to come. The deal can extend up to six years and will pay him less than 6 million a year. Sources said earlier that Kiprusoff was demanding upwards of 7 million. Evidently they were wrong.

Looks like the odd man in will be Warren Peters at 4th line C. This is of course until Lombardi gets back from apparent injury. The opening day line-up should look like this:
Tanguay-Langkow-Iginla
Huselius-Conroy-Nolan
Nilson-Yelle-Moss
Primeau-Peters-Godard
On Defence:
Phaneuf-Sarich
Regehr-Aucoin
Warrener-Eriksson

Rather than just reiterating the full schedule (which you can find at the official website) I’ve broken down the schedule by TV network for your review. Enjoy this table that displays all TSN games for the 2007-08 season. As usual there are only a few against American teams that we usually don’t see on TV.

Here is the complete schedule for the upcoming Sportsnet TV coverage for the Calgary Flames. Yet again Calgary is the least covered team in the West with only 47 games (compared to 53 to the Oilers, correct me if I’m wrong). I guess Sportsnet likes losing money, Calgary has a bigger fan base by now in the West.
