Kobby Wears ‘A’, Hussy Back to Old Games

Chuck Kobasew wore the C during the lock out for the Lowell Monsters, tonight, he wore the 'A' for the big club. Perhaps a mini motivator from the Flames brass silently suggesting, "how about another 20+ goal season?" Kobasew didn't dissapoint. The line of Kobasew, Huselius, and Boyd, turned in a spirited performance, dominating the ice all night when together.
As much as Florida tried, they couldn't beat the wall--no, that's not a good name--the Krahn.....that's even worse. Brent Krahn turned in a solid show, backstopping the Flames to a 3-1 victory over the Florida Panthers in pre-season play. Even with numerous PP's that saw top names for Florida, Calgary managed to surrender only 1 goal.

Although the Flames line-up was missing the regular names like Iginla, Tanguay, Regher, and Amonte, the 'young guns' (yes I'm bringing up the past) certainly showed good old Flames hockey, albeit with a little more offensive flare.

Although no particular rookie stood out as exceptional, other than perhaps Krahn, they all did proove that the veterans have a reason to look over their shoulder this coming season.

Next pre-season game is Tuesday, a new revamped Vancouver come to town without any hated players like Ruuttu, Bootuzzi, and Ed 'I'm in the penalty box and we just tied with 3 seconds like' Jovanovski. Hope to see a Lombardi Tanguay Iginla lineup....
