No joke, FlamesForum is always looking for ways to help real Flames fans and we’ve got one. Yesterday someone from the UK was watching the game versus the Senators. Although you don’t get the cool PPV feed, you can watch NHL Centre Ice for free! That means you can watch all 82 games this year (including the 7 not broadcast anywhere but US stations (or Centre Ice)).


Here are the details: The program is called TVUPlayer 2.2.0 and may be downloaded from the link. NHL Centre Ice I believe is channel 10025. I don’t know what the FSN channels are so let us know by posting back in the forum, also let us know how well this worked for you. Remember, you don’t get the quality PPV broadcast so I’d still opt to pick those up, but for some days you’re stuck in class or can’t head to the pub, try this out. Pass it on!

April 4th 2006 edit: TVU doesn’t display all Flames games as some of you have noticed. The occasional game was online with Yahoo! but all in all, TV was still the best way to watch games. Sometimes you could watch them at NHL TV (pay a fee now) the day after.


Nov 19th, 2007 edit: Here is another peer to peer program that enables you to watch games online. Try it out and let us know in the forum if it works.
