Flames Omaha AHL Team on the Move Out?
In the Calgary Herald today there was a report that the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knight will be moving after two seasons in Nebraska.
Apparently losses have mounted beyond 4 million because the franchise, despite playing good hockey finishing tops in their division, can't pull in more than 3500 fans a game. That would place the AHL franchise dead last in attendance.
Rumored locations for the AHL team should there be a move includes Moline, Illinois. More details to follow.
