Flames 0 - Oilers 5

The Calgary Flames took another step backwards putting together one of their worst performances of the season. This postgame report will have nothing in it about the game since it was terrible to watch. Curtis Joseph let in five goals and the Flames all around played bad. Here are two reasons why the Flames have been losing recently:

Flames Embarrassed in Edmonton

1. No Agitator. The Flames have no agitator. Mark Smith is too small, Eric Godard is too big and can't skate. There's nobody to fire up the team.

2. No response for agitators. The Flames have nobody to stand up against agitators. I.e. Zack Stortini, Ott, etc. Godard is supposed to be doing this but he's a liability on the ice. There's a problem with this. On one hand the guy never fights anymore because of coaching decisions not to match him to 'send a message'. The other hand, you play him, risk goals against, but get owned in the agitator category.

No clear solution for the team at this point other than nobody seems to care to showup for games these days.

Here are the fights in order as they appeared:

No instigator for Moreau, not sure how he got away with that.

Godard trying to vent his frustration. Hey buddy, fight Stortini you nut! Sarich goes for his second and fairs well.

So now he`s getting blamed? Do'nt get me wrong, it was a dumb move, but if the coach doesn't let you do your job for a month you maybe take out some frustration (just why he chose the goalie I dunno).
