Game 5: Oilers host the Flames tonight
Sometimes one wonders what is happening. Is it just the Flames? Despite having attained all the necessary ingredients (great coach, great forwards, good defensive players and a good goaltender) why does the equation fail to add up? Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a bad dream – a dream that will materialize for the Flames and their fans on a positive note. When you score 4-5 goals a game, that should be good enough to win.
Home at Home in Oil-Town
The Canucks and the Oilers did not make it to the playoffs last year – and this year, they want to make sure that they do so against all odds. However, the Flames cannot give it that easy because the odds have never been in their favour. Hence, critical thinking must come to play tonight. The team has to regroup their thoughts and ambitions; they have to sharpen their skills and skates; loosen their muscles and themselves. The Flames have to be very optimistic and upfront – We must get the two points tonight.
Stay tuned tonight, fans. The best of the west is on CBC (HD), NHLN-US and the tireless voice of the Flames, Peter Mahar. It all begins tonight at 8:00 pm.
