New Calgary Flames Minor League Off to BC
Here's some more interesting news than lamenting on the colossal collapse the NHL Flames committed yesterday.
Thanks Omaha, thanks Quad Cities, the baby-Flames are relocating back to Canada. The AHL approved the move that will see Abbotsford become the new home of the minor league team.
The city recently finished building a new arena and were eager to land the pro-franchise. This will also be great for Flames attendance since the past three seasons there was hardly a fan in the bowl.
David Van Der Gulik will be happy, he's from Abbotsford....He'll probably play in the AHL next year so hooray for a hometown hero
