It is deeply regretted that that someone had to be Mike Keenan.

Hopefully, the new staff want to too pompous. And, as far as I am concerned, nothing will change for the better because bad apples spoil the whole broth......If there is no integrity, principle or ethics, nothing will matter....

assistant coaches Rich Preston, Rob Cookson, David Marcoux and Jim Playfair are gone.

However, Playfair has been offered the head coaching position of the Flames American Hockey League afiliate in Abbotsford, B.C.

Injuries, but alas, someone has to take the fall.

As per Sutter, the whole Flames coaching staff won't be back. Sutter wants entire new staff in place by draft. He will let new head coach choose his own staff...

I agree anar, I dont think it was his fault either. Injuries was the biggest fault the way I see it, once our best defense went down the whole team seemed to go with em. Let's hope this wasn't a bad move...

That was bad news. It was not Keenan's fault.....In fact he was a superb coach. Let's wait to see who wins the cup (as if it hasn't been predicted by now) before more can be said about winninng. In my view, it is not the coaching staff but something more deeper than that....Pofessionalism and sportsmanship used to be two of the ways of winning and should be.... it is about knowing how to pull the trigger at the right time. Honesty doesn't pay....

I'm quite surprised to be honest to see him go but I guess someone had to take the fall. I hope they find a great replacement.
