It appears Sutter finally got his man. Last year Nolan was rumoured to be heading to Calgary but Phoenix won that battle. Nolan became available again this year and Sutter tried again with greater success. The move will provide a strong second line RW for the team, however, questions the teams interest in bringing up some of their young players to fill roles this year.
As it stands there may be 2-3 spots for youngsters to crack the starting lineup, this of course assumes no more off-season moves. The deal will pay Nolan over 1.75 million plus incentives that could pay him closer to 2 million.
