The Flames traveled to Edmonton for the next installment of the Battle of Alberta. Starting at 8PM on national television to boot, the depleted Flames will line with some new faces.
Jamie Lundmark was called up for the injured Rene Bourque who is out for an extended period after getting slew-footed.
kyle Greentree is also coming up to take the place of Andre Roy. Mark Giordano is out with an upper body injury so Vandermeer will drop back to D.
Todd Bertuzzi scored the only shoot out goal as Calgary came from behind in the last minute and captured two points from the Edmonton Oilers.
Matthew Lombardi scored with a minute left and the penalty kill stood tall as the Flames finally found an answer to Dwayne Roloson’s superb performance through 65 minutes.
The call ups for Calgary did their job playing 14 minutes each. However, you could tell there were some pieces missing from Calgary’s lineup as at times things looked out of sync.
Notes: Dustin Boyd and David Moss collided with each other late in the third period.
