Well they stopped the bleeding but they haven’t made any inroads to playing winning hockey. Calgary lost yet again and the frustrating thing is this team is the SAME TEAM from the past two years (if not more). Same problems, same lack of scoring, same junk.
And a disturbing stat, Iginla has scored 3 goals in his last 28 games stretching back to last season. Damn.

Truly frustrating. Not sure what it will take to win games let alone play with momentum. The team’s performance had been apparent in the first period only. However, it is difficult to decipher why the players cannot keep their lead – it was the fourth time that the team lost their lead. Offensive efforts were terrible in terms of shots on goal and defense was not worth mentioning. The players could not even manage to control the puck or make accurate passes to their linemates; and what’s devastating, they couldn’t score on a four minute advantage!.
On the bright side?
– The Calgary Flames shut down their opponents to a one goal lead only
– They managed to score on a 4-3 (pp) courtesy of the Giordano the gem and also managed to kill the major 4 minute penalty.
Time to change your strategies, boys and get back to your winning spirits! Go Flames Go!!
