Not much to say about this game. Really boring. Really bad hockey. Really bad for the game to watch the Wild come to town. I wonder how much money teams lose in lost ticket revenue. Needless to say, the Flames can’t score and are in dire need for leadership. Jarome Iginla caused the first goal and was yet again non-existent on offence. Curtis Glencross can be added to that club.
In goal, Leland Irving. Had a solid game, but was clearly taken to school in the shootout. He looked like a minor leaguer the way he bit on every first fake. Calgary picked up Joey MacDonald on waivers, which is a head scratcher since he’s no better than what’s on our farm club.
All in all, a point in a boring game for a team that just can’t get it going.
only saving grace is the games in hand. of course you have to win those ones. haha.
By the way, shootouts are turning out to be a disgrace and should not be considered as the determining factors of a game. Rather they should be utilized for All star competition purposes or to evaluate a players capacity to score goals.
A point gained though; but it was difficult to decipher the number of illegitimate penalties on Alex Tanguay of late – the other night the fishing for the puck had been a slashing call while yesterday he had been penalized for a tripping call, which should have been called to the opposition…..Hey, what’s happening here…..
