Flames deserved this one. Arguably their best defensive game of the season put together for two points at the Scotiabank Arena. They dominated the game apart from a late 5v3 PP gifted to the Leafs that stole some momentum. This team is a far cry from the hot mess less than 5 days ago at home vs the Penguins where they were booed out of the ‘Dome after a 9-1 beating.

Which team will show up tomorrow vs Buffalo?

Calgary is a team of inconsistencies and still a one-line wonder. They may be shoring up part of their game, but until they can string together multiple games of solid play they’re going to look more like the current stock market than a playoff calibre team.

  1. Well played and a well earned victory. The five on three had been disconcerting because the video verifies the net had been kicked by someone in a blue shirt. Why is it that five on threes are dished out when the opposition is on the losing end? Nothing makes sense.
