Florida doesn’t get much snow. In fact, they barely have a fan base. If Florida’s top line hadn’t amassed a point, only rare scoring chances, nobody would care. If management brought back old faces touting a new renewed opportunity for Stanley Cup glory, only Panther fans from Canada would care. But alas, Calgary isn’t a tropical state, but a hardened snow infested land with diehard hockey fans.
Too bad the local team is pooping the bed.
Just game three yet the chorus of boos in the ‘Dome was resounding. Yes fans, this Flames team looks worse than last season. Personnel have definitely improved but the product on the ice pails in comparison to a Washington Montreal game. In fact, most Flames fans feel asleep in during tonight’s game. Why? Cause watching the FLames is painful.
In this city people pay attention to their team, and unfortunately for everyone named ‘Sutter’, the city is inhospitable. Yes, we’re in game 3, but you can rest assured that every loss from now on will include a chorus of boos with chants of, “Fire Sutter”.
But really, why should anybody expect anything less? The team doesn’t compete for 60 minutes which used to be the bare minimum fans would get. The staple of Sutter hockey has turned from hard work to pre lock-out style hockey of defense first.
That’s style not only SUCKS but it boring to watch, plus it doesn’t win you games.
I do’nt know what the solution is for this team. They can’t generate anything, they are being outcoached (no adjustments or execution on the PP all game….) The lines continually change, and the experiment of TJ Brodie (-2 but really -3) needs to stop.
Will the real Flames show up? Hopefully that starts with the captain who’s notorious slow starts are now dragging the rest of the team down.
Next up, Edmonton Saturday for what we can only expect is going to be a massive drubbing. Prove me wrong Flames, prove me wrong.
All that comes to mind is disgusting, boring as ****, and embarrassing.
I thought Bouwmeester had a good game, always jumping up. Staios and Brodie did not. Still would like to see A GOAL :@
I know it is early in the season but I don’t see anything that has changed since last season. That is really discouraging and I don’t see much hope for this year. I really hope they prove me wrong.
Well we’ve had injuries, kipper is still good, it’s only three games in, and heck, iginla always has a slow start. what hurts me the most is how much these guys just coast around. that’s gotta stop.
I can only say it is way too early to make any assumptions yet. Yes, it was disappointing to see the shut out losses, but only the Flames know why their performance has been less than perfect. It is only the team’s collaborative effort that can improve this situation and believe me….they will!!!
Go Flames Go. The fans will not give up on you and neither can you!!!
