Slow start, great finish.
Calgary stormed back time in and time again to steal a point from a game that would see the winner take sole possession of the 8th and final playoff spot. There’s a lot of hockey to be played and the single point is definitely better than none.
Calgary is in the fight of their playoff lives playing team that are in the same boat. In order for the Flames to prevail, however, they need all lines to contribute, and solid goaltending.
Against LA they lacked goaltending early, and point production was left to special teams/top line. Time for others to contribute if the Flames are to continue their success.
Notes: Next up, Chicago Monday. Lance Bouma made his NHL debut.
I agree it wasn’t the greatest performance since the Kings were always a step ahead of the Flames. However, it was because they had come prepared for the win….and they definitely played remarkably well.
