Two out of three periods dominant, asleep during the third, and another OT thriller. That about sums up the Flames 4th win in a row, the highest such win-streak of the season. Hat tip to Mike Smith. He’s stellar on the road and shut the door tonight. Flames can brush up their game with some secondary scoring, and consistent effort on the forecheck. But let’s be frank–things are improving–which is what fans want to see as the push to the playoffs heats up.
P.S. Dougie Hamilton needs to pick up some of TJ Brodie’s minutes. I don’t know why Brodie is so heavily favored in every situation ,but Hamilton is the team’s best D man (arguably) so why not play him more? He’s clutch lately with 2 GWG.
The defense has been a contributory factor for the team. Whether it is TJ or Dougie, these defencemen are doing their ultimate best to produce offensively.
