Calgary pushed ahead in the standings back to the number one spot and essentially hold their own fate on where they finish this season in the standings after Vancouver’s shoot-out loss to Anaheim.

Coming into Dallas apprehensive fans were wondering what Flames team would show up. The sporadic offence coupled with equally inconsistent defence have dropped the Flames from the top spot in the NW division

Iginla tied the game scoring his 33rd, but apart from that t he chances were few and the defense a bit shaky. Kipper was strong, but with Regher down and out along with Sarich one wonders who will start tomorrow.

Notes: Dion Phaneuf was PLUS TWO folks, hopefully a sign of improvement. Robyn Regher left the game with a head injury after being hit from behind from Steve Ott. Robyn got the only penalty on the play. Sarich is not on the trip either so maybe a call up?

Only one third period shot for Calgary, not good. Minnesota tomorrow.
