Back and forth they went with the Flames finally hanging on for the win with PP goals, weak goals against, and everything in between. 5 games left, 3 points out, chances are slim. Do you still have hope? I’m off the wagon…. Heck, i had free tickets to go to the game and turned them down.
The win was definitely gift wrapped and the fans loved it!!
For starters, the Calgary Flames and Kiprusoff managed to take the shine out of the Stars with the 5-4 home ice victory and every player gave their very best performance….of course, there was a slight defensive slack but who cares, a win is a win is a win…and the Flames should take it from here one game at a time. Particular recognition goes to the power play strikers, Jokinen, Giordano and Tanguay. It was a pleasure to see Cammy come back and connect to the net with Comeau; Iginla who also ignited his team with two assists while Glencross and Stempniak also chipped in with helpers. Of noteworthy were the 35 saves that Kiprusoff made, especially the breakaway…
Additional insights to the game: The hooking penalty on Giordano….was that hooking or fishing for the puck? Ice goggles are very much in need please!
