Some moves and some updates from the Calgary Flames front. The NHL Draft went down to the wire, even before it began, with a rumored 3-way trade with Columbus, Edmonton, and Calgary. On the free-agency front, the Flames today announced qualifying offers for 4 players:

Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Freddie Hamilton and Tyler Wotherspoon

The former two expected to get big raises.

Then the interesting pieces of who wasn’t qualified, a sign of new management putting their identity on the team.

Not Qualified: Kenny Agostino, Bill Arnold, Joe Colborne, Turner Elson, Josh Jooris, Joni Ortio, Kevin Poulin, Drew Shore, Bryce Van Brabant.

Colborne and Jooris rumored to be negotiating still (you have until July 1) and Ortio apparently not in the picture anymore.

The team also moved Patrick Sieloff to Ottawa for RW Alex Chiasson.

What do you think of the moves?
