The Flames strolled into Dallas, a non-playoff team, and looked out of place. Lacklustre effort, D troubles, and zero offence to speak of. The PP went 0 for 5 is in dire need of help. What’s worse, is that of 2 of 3 games on the road the Flames had to ice 7 D men due to injuries. The Flames are already up against the cap, and the fact they didn’t bother to call up another body just in case shows you the situation they’re in. Well now it’s costing us games, and the schedule won’t be getting easier.

With every team in the Pacific Division winning games, the Flames, despite sitting at the top, can’t afford to drop games with the kind of play they displayed tonight. A night and day performance in a time and league where you simply can’t take nights off. Hope they shake this one off. I suppose .750 hockey the rest of the way ain’t half bad…. but still, we have to watch the games.
