Well how about that secondary scoring?

The Flames have been missing lines 3 and 4 in the past week but a challenge by the coach over the weekend seems to have temporarily changed things.

As the top line looks about average, the 3rd line stepped in over the past two games.

Bennett and Lucic, led by Derek Ryan, have all chipped in with solid shifts and points. Mangiapane was on that 3rd line but left the game mid-way with a head injury. Lucic took his spot and registered his first point as a Flames (how about that trade!, not).

That’s not to everyone is on page. The 4th line is basically MIA. Jankowski is MIA. He’s going to be traded, no doubt if he keeps this up.

As for the rest, Big Save Dave continues to shine. Both games looking like he could go the distance for a shutout but denied in the 3rd. He’s offering solid goaltending and answering some of the questions we had before the season began.

Next up is LA, once again, in LA. A california road swing over the weekend will show if the Flames can continue their momentum, or if they’ll take a night off.
