Jamie Mac got his first win of the season with some timely offense. The back up netminder gave Kiprusoff a much needed night off by backstopping the Flames to a 5-3 win over lowly LA. Albeit, he wasn’t spectacular in net, he did enough to get the W, his first of the season.

Jarome Iginla got things started (albeit he had an off night with only two points :P) by passing to Amonte. For some reason Cloutier can’t stop anything from the blue line and AMonte scored with his long range shot. The top line would all get two points a piece, Amonte joining in with a ‘hurt’ Tanguay.

Friesen and Tanguay were out hurt and Boyd and Moss replaced them. We had 5 players fro the minors in the line up and still manhandled LA. Any other team we would have been given a run for our money, but today we got away with it. The defense was certainly shaky with 3 newcomers, but the forwards did well to score goals. Huselius had a nice goal in the 3rd on a breakaway to put the game away.

Don’t rest now, next up Colorado, on PPV again. No word on anybody coming out of the sick bay. Moss had his first NHL goal in his first NHL game off a nice feed from Boyd. Moss will probably be sent down as Tanguay will likely be playing Thursday (we think.)
