Update!
Turns out this wasn’t a hoax, it was for real, today the team unveiled the official third jersey.
At least it beats the horse….
Folks at http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2013/10/5/did-nhl14-leak-new-flames-third.html are claiming the new alternate third jersey was leaked via the new EA Sports video game.
If you’ve ever stayed up late to cobble together a last minute art project, you probably would’ve come close to this:
At least it’s not as bad as this one, which isn’t saying much: 
Graphics look a bit dated…. maybe a spoof?
It is better than the black one which looked like a halloween outfit, Nevertheless, it somehow provides a childlike appearance unsuitable for NHL status.

The “C Flame” should have been in yellow: never seen a Flame in black color.

That’s true…but it did not depict the logo of the Calgary Flames either….It had been anticipated that changes would be made in the new jerseys, though
True, but it had been antifcipated that this would change with the new jersey. Inherently the flame look better with the red and yellow colors rather than the black….Have you ever seen a black flame?

In response to your message, when the Flames jerseys with the black flame had been introduced, I was not as involved in writing for the Calgary Flames. From a die-hard fan’s perspective, it is only inherent to address my opinions whether NHL recognizes it or not. The current lettering (Calgary) and the logo are indistinguishable; and it is my conviction that the “C Flame” logo in yellow would stand out on a red background.
