The Calgary Flames faced the St Louis Blues, the best team in Western Conference, for the final game of a 7 homestand. One of the critiques on the up Flames game was the lack of secondary scoring. There were hints they were breaking out last game versus Detroit, but tonight solidified the damn may have broken. Every single Flames forward how to point except for boring Sean Monahan. The team tallied seven goals, Let’s not by the first line tonight, but by the third line anchored by 5 year project, Mark Jankowski, who had two goals, both in the first period.

The game included a storyline that saw starting goalie Mike Smith, leave the game after the first period after getting repeatedly run. Eddie Lack took over, and between him and Jake Allen, battled to see you would make the final save of the game. That would be Lack. With the Flames up 5-4 late in the third, he stuck out his right pad to rob the would be tying goal and preserve the win.

Calgary now embarks on a lengthy road trip hitting all of the high notes. The only questions mark, after solving the secondary scoring woes, that included Sam Bennett getting his first goal of the season (two points tonight), will be the condition of Mike Smith.
