Post-game summary, team news, and commentary.
Folks, the top line did nothing, but with almost a complete lineup in tact it was--get this--secondary scoring. David Moss continued the scoring trend and the new Matthew Lombardi is Dustyn Boyd. After years of non-existent scoring from lines 3-4 (sometimes 2), the...

Our beloved Flames will be starting training camp in a couple of weeks. And after they get reacquaint themselves, ask how each other’s summers went, take those lovely player photos we all adore so much, it’s time to get back to work. Drills, meetings, and...
Last season, when the Flames were looking for much needed fourth line scoring (isn't that always the story) the likes of Mike Smith were kept around, and two point producers in the Quad City AHL affiliate were kept below. Not much has been written on why the Flames...
Mostly the interest surrounds his a) move from rival Canucks (you rarely see high profile players move between rival teams...only say the likes of Glencross....no pot shot to him,) and b) his continuing saga re: problems with lawsuits. Yahoo says fair game any...
Bootuzzi, I mean Bertuzzi, Rene Bourque, Mike C, Curtis Glencross, and Andre Roy together were 'released' to the media. Check the headlines and the video at http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=247636&lid=headline It's a nice feature.
It's almost September which means the Calgary Flames new signings are trying to find digs to set up shop. Players without families tend to move in around the 'Dome, whereas the family guys (and of course bigger contract guys, since these days your avg. salary barely...

So I guess Darryl Sutter was kidding when he basically said that the overall team toughness of the Flames made the need for a bench rider with fists obsolete. Turns out that wasn't entirely true. Revealed first at the NHL.com web site and then by the Flames, Calgary...

Goodbye Owen Nolan, Hello Todd Bertuzzi Turns out Daryl Sutter was serious when he said all he wanted was a one-year deal. Only thing was, he lost Nolan to the Wild, but he got another power forward vet. Only thing--it's Todd Bertuzzi....one year deal worth just under...
And now it seems Calgary is suddenly in a 'rebuilding' stage. First Tanguay, then Huselius, and now Nolan, all gone--basically the entire second line. The replacements? Rene Bourque, Mike Cammalleri, ?. Owen Nolan tonight signed a two year deal that he was seeking,...
Peter and Jim Vandermeer, Curtis Glencross Arrive to Flames The rumors are true, Curtis Glencross arrives from Edmonton, so let the trash talking begin. Also the fist void has been somewhat answered in two other signings. No contract details yet, but we can be sure...
